The COVID-19 virus is disrupting the lives of many of us. In particular, those with children and eldercare responsibilities may find themselves suddenly unable to work in a normal fashion. As well, the CJC editorial team, our authors, and our reviewers may suddenly find their work responsibilities more onerous. These extraordinary circumstances suggest the wisest course of action to be to temporarily halt editorial operations (mainly the processing of submissions and peer review) to deal with only the most urgent matters. Access to content online will remain operative as will journal submission software. The difficulty in specifying the length of this hiatus is that we do not know the likely trajectory of COVID-19 in Canada. CJC will announce major developments in our editorial office to registered readers and on its site. Of course, our hope is to return to normal operations as soon as is feasible.
