Marie-Eve Carignan is a Professor of Information and Communication at the Université de Sherbrooke. She is also the Co-director of
Communications graduate programs. She holds a Doctorate in Information Sciences and Communication from the Institut d'études politiques d’Aix-en-Provence and a Doctorate in Communication from the joint PhD program of the Université de Montréal, the Université du Québec à Montreal, and Concordia University. She has
more than ten years of professional experience in corporate communication, management, strategic analysis, and public relations. She focuses her research on cultural industries and audiences of culture, media content analysis, journalistic practices and ethics as well as on strategic communication: public
relations, crisis communication, risk, terrorism, and counter-terrorism.
